Job Summary

Slegg Building Materials is seeking a skilled and reliable Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering building materials to customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Drive 3 ton and 5 ton cube vans to deliver building materials to customers
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to meet customer needs
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Perform pre-trip inspections on Slegg vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
  • Load and unload trucks, and perform general housekeeping duties as required
  • Assist shipper with loading and unloading of trucks, and verify load security and accuracy
  • Communicate with customers and other trades on construction sites, and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures

Requirements

  • Previous driver experience, with a valid Class 5 BC Driver's license
  • Flexible work hours, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift heavy products, and work in a physically demanding role
  • Positive attitude, with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
