We are in search of an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a strategic mindset towards procurement. The ideal candidate will possess significant expertise in overseeing procurement operations, formulating purchasing strategies, and negotiating contracts within a manufacturing context. Exceptional leadership qualities and the ability to mentor less experienced staff are essential for this position.

Position Overview:

The Supply Chain Manager plays a pivotal role within the supply chain division, concentrating on strategic procurement initiatives, team leadership, and continuous process enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Direct the procurement team in executing strategic purchasing initiatives.
  2. Participate in daily operational tasks to support the procurement team and maintain efficient workflows.
  3. Establish and nurture robust relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and high-quality sourcing.
  4. Design and implement thorough purchasing strategies.
  5. Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with key suppliers.
  6. Conduct market analysis to identify optimal products and suppliers.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
  8. Resolve complex supplier-related issues, including warranty claims and returns.
  9. Organize shipping logistics and related documentation.
  10. Guide and mentor junior team members in procurement best practices.
  11. Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks to ensure operational continuity and discover cost-saving opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. ASCM certification is mandatory for this role.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing setting.
  3. Familiarity with mechanical equipment, valves, instrumentation and control (I&C) systems, and electrical controls is crucial.
  4. Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; advanced degree is preferred.
  5. Advanced skills in negotiation and supplier management.
  6. Proven track record in identifying and executing cost-saving initiatives.
  7. Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance within procurement and supply chain operations.
  8. Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  9. Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  10. Proficiency in supply chain principles and procurement software.
  11. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
  12. Detail-oriented, organized, and focused on customer service.
