Job Title: Trade Floor Technology Consultant

Scotiabank is seeking a highly skilled Trade Floor Technology Consultant to join our Global Banking & Markets team. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical consulting and support for solving computer and related technology issues on our trade floor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues on the trade floor, escalating or redirecting as necessary.
  • Implement leading-edge trading technologies to improve trade floor capabilities.
  • Configure and manage a wide range of mobile devices, including laptops, iPhones, and tablets.
  • Work on various projects, including new technology initiatives, data analysis, and analytics.
  • Develop in-house web-based tools to optimize trade floor processes.

Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting computer applications and handling computer hardware.
  • Knowledge of web or database programming is an asset.
  • Experience with network administration and the latest computer hardware and electronics is a plus.
