Job Description

As a key member of the Agile Excellence Domain at Sun Life, the Manager, Agile Practice Chapter will lead the DE Canada Project Management team in driving business outcomes and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a high-performing team environment that fosters collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute a talent strategy that enables career progression and mobility for Scrum Master practitioners.
  • Manage resource allocation, forecasting, and budgeting to ensure optimal team performance.
  • Assess and review the overall practice of the Agile Practice Chapter, driving best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Establish the direction of professional development for chapter members and ensure they have the necessary tools, coaching, and support to succeed.
  • Lead and facilitate community of practice for the chapter, ensuring consistency and alignment in chapter management practices across DE Canada.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in project management, Agile/Scrum, and/or delivery.
  • PMP, Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), or Certified Scrum Coach (CSC) certification ideal.
  • Delivery or software development background a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in agile delivery and 5+ years of experience in project management.
  • Bias for action, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience creating a rewarding working environment that drives team members to have a real impact.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, team building, and organizational skills.
