The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is committed to enhancing the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services throughout the region. The organization also oversees various province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and operational functions for health organizations.
Position OverviewThis role provides strategic oversight and guidance for provincial talent acquisition initiatives, including the development of candidate pipelines, campus and international recruitment efforts, and leading a dynamic recruitment team focused on fulfilling roles primarily in clinical care. The successful candidate will cultivate and lead a recruitment team that prioritizes customer service to facilitate health service delivery. They will design and implement talent acquisition strategies that align with the organization's immediate and long-term objectives. Additionally, the role involves mentoring talent acquisition professionals, offering support and development opportunities, and ensuring effective service delivery through close collaboration with provincial human resources teams and operational leadership.
The position also entails the creation and management of recruitment programs aimed at enhancing the provincial talent pipeline through partnerships with Indigenous communities, educational institutions, and vocational training centers across all disciplines.
Furthermore, the role includes the establishment and management of systems related to immigration support, onboarding, orientation, selection, and evaluation processes, while leveraging social media platforms for outreach. As a brand ambassador, the incumbent will promote the organization as an employer of choice through various channels and events.
Experience- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in leading customer-focused talent acquisition services.
- At least 7 years of experience in team leadership and development to meet service delivery objectives.
- 7 years of active recruiting experience, including campus and national/international recruitment and employee onboarding.
- 7 years of involvement in human resources operational planning, executing strategic directives, and achieving defined quantitative goals.
- A post-secondary degree in a relevant human resources discipline from an accredited institution.
- Certification in recruiting is considered an asset.
- CPHR and/or RPR certification is an asset.
- Demonstrated senior leadership capabilities, aligned with the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework adopted by the provincial health system.
- Ability to work safely in a standard office environment with frequent meetings and to lift and carry items weighing up to approximately 10 kg.
- Common interruptions to respond to inquiries from senior management and third-party compliance bodies; however, dedicated time for planning and focus can be scheduled.
