About the Role:

The University of Toronto Libraries is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the acquisitions and metadata services teams, you will be responsible for the acquisition, activation, processing, and copy cataloguing of library materials in all forms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating, downloading, and maintaining accurate order and catalogue records in the Library's resource management system
  • Assisting with the receiving, licensing & renewal of library materials
  • Supporting the troubleshooting of e-resource access and other service problems
  • Working with more than one data management platform simultaneously and adapting to new technology and workflows

Requirements:

  • University degree and/or acceptable equivalent combination of relevant education and experience required
  • A minimum of one year of related experience working with records for the management of inventory or research data
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an academic or library setting is considered an asset
