Role Overview: As the Head of Internship Programs, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our SRE/DevOps organization. Your expertise will be essential in enhancing our security and continuity processes while delivering reliable and future-proof infrastructure components for all engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 6 engineers, primarily seniors, addressing significant challenges such as managing multi-TB Postgres clusters and overseeing 10+ full-featured GKE clusters worldwide with over 10,000 tenants.
  • Implement best practices in Kubernetes, Helm, Operators, SLIs, SLOs, Incident Management, Observability, Security, and Disaster Recovery across all Product-Engineering teams.
  • Automate complex infrastructure components for our global footprint using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and proficient scripting in Python or Golang.
  • Guide the Infrastructure team through the transition towards Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), leveraging your technical experience.
  • Manage relationships with Infrastructure Vendors, ensuring budget adherence and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee Security, Disaster Recovery, Continuity planning, Risk management, and Incident management processes.
  • Enhance the Platform-Product interface for feature tracking and prioritization, providing a trusted voice in guiding these decisions.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a managerial or technical leadership role, demonstrating strong mentorship, career development, and performance management skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience with distributed web applications and managing 24/7 production environments.
  • A commitment to Data Consistency and processing accuracy, with a willingness to delve into any layer of the stack to resolve production issues.
  • Proficient coding skills.
