POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Senior Engineer specializing in Threat & Vulnerability, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough investigations into security incidents or vulnerabilities identified by external parties or security researchers.
  • Addressing vulnerability reports and coordinating with IT partners to prioritize remediation efforts in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Monitoring security incidents and orchestrating cross-departmental teams to effectively mitigate and eliminate threats.
  • Analyzing logs from diverse sources to identify and investigate anomalous activities.
  • Examining security events from various endpoints, networks, firewalls, proxies, and cloud security tools, and implementing necessary remediation measures.
  • Performing root cause analyses for security incidents and documenting findings comprehensively.
  • Implementing security controls to safeguard Aritzia's infrastructure against potential threats.
  • Researching emerging threats and configuring relevant alerts to enhance security posture.
  • Contributing to the development of threat-driven response playbooks to manage security incidents effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

The ideal candidate for the Senior Engineer, Threat & Vulnerability role will possess:

  • Demonstrated expertise, certifications, education, and/or experience, including proficiency in Microsoft security products such as MS Defender and Sentinel; familiarity with Kusto Query Language (KQL); and knowledge of security incident investigation methodologies.
  • Understanding of various operating systems including Microsoft, Linux, and Mac; experience with Zscaler products; proficiency in vulnerability scanning tools; and knowledge of Azure and GCP cloud infrastructures, SIEM products, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Preferred certifications: Microsoft Security Operations Analysts Associate – SC-200, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate – AZ-500, Offensive Security: OSCP, SOC-200, and SANS: GIAC – Incident Handler.

COMPENSATION DETAILS

The typical salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000 CAD annually. The final salary will be determined based on relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
