POSITION OVERVIEW

In the capacity of Senior Engineer, Threat & Vulnerability, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Conducting thorough investigations into security incidents or vulnerabilities flagged by external parties or security researchers.
  • Addressing vulnerability notifications and coordinating remediation efforts with IT stakeholders in alignment with service level agreements.
  • Monitoring security incidents and orchestrating cross-departmental teams to effectively mitigate and eliminate threats.
  • Examining logs from diverse sources to identify and analyze anomalous activities.
  • Investigating security events utilizing various EDR, network, firewall, proxy, and cloud security tools, and executing necessary remediation measures.
  • Performing root cause analysis on security incidents and meticulously documenting your findings.
  • Implementing security measures to safeguard Aritzia's infrastructure against potential threats.
  • Engaging in research on emerging threats and configuring pertinent alerts.
  • Contributing to the formulation of threat-driven response protocols to enhance security incident management.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

The ideal candidate for the Senior Engineer, Threat & Vulnerability role will possess:

  • Demonstrated expertise, certifications, education, and/or experience, including proficiency in Microsoft security products such as MS Defender and Sentinel; Kusto Query Language (KQL); and security incident investigation methodologies. Familiarity with Microsoft, Linux, and Mac operating systems; Zscaler products; vulnerability scanning tools; Azure and GCP cloud infrastructures; SIEM products; and the MITRE ATT&CK framework is essential. Experience with web application and/or network penetration testing is a plus.
  • Preferred certifications include Microsoft: Security Operations Analysts Associate – SC-200, MS: Azure Security Engineer Associate – AZ-500, Offensive Security: OSCP, SOC-200, and SANS: GIAC – Incident Handler.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

The standard compensation range for this role is between $100,000 - $140,000 CAD annually. The final salary will be determined based on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
