Role Summary

What is the opportunity?

This position is designed for candidates who are fully flexible regarding relocation within the province. This tailored Leadership Development Program aims to attract seasoned and capable leadership talent to RBC. We seek leaders eager for transformation and advancement, providing them with a chance to immerse themselves in and enhance their skills and competencies under the mentorship of our senior leadership team, ultimately finding their ideal role within RBC Leadership.

What does Leadership entail at RBC?

We are in search of individuals who view themselves as adaptable throughout the Province of Manitoba. In this capacity, you will inspire and guide a high-achieving team of Advisors in a vibrant, high-demand, and fulfilling market, while setting and accomplishing team goals. You will mentor your team to enhance their skills and capabilities to optimize sales and referral opportunities, facilitate digital education and usage, and advocate for problem resolution at the initial point of contact. By sharing common objectives, purpose, vision, and values with RBC partners, you will cultivate relationships and foster collaboration across all roles. Additionally, you will support the continuous development of your team through regular sales routines to ensure a high level of employee capability and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster high employee engagement through talent management, development, and career planning
  • Achieve results through effective sales management practices and coaching proficiency
  • Collaborate with your manager to ensure operational integrity of the business and enhance team performance
  • Inspire, coordinate, and lead exceptional retailing standards to provide a memorable client experience
  • Guide your team on client advisory and education, problem resolution and prevention at the first point of contact, and promote digital enablement and multichannel usage
  • Utilize partnerships to build both internal and external relationships that support business objectives
  • Address local community needs through appropriate recruitment and management strategies

Qualifications for Success

Essential Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a leadership or coaching role
  • Demonstrated success in business expansion, along with establishing community and client relationships
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are adaptable throughout the Province of Manitoba

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of licensed mutual fund sales experience within the last 3 years
  • Mutual Funds accreditation (IFIC or CSC)
  • Completion of an acceptable mutual fund branch management exam (BCO) offered by the CSI, or the ability to take the exam within 4 months of starting
  • Experience in both business and personal banking
  • Strong understanding of sales management practices and the ability to lead the team effectively
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with the capability to identify and develop new business opportunities
