As a Field Service Technician at Moneris, you will be equipped with a company vehicle to carry out your responsibilities.

In this role, you will leverage your technical skills and a customer-centric mindset to provide exceptional service to our merchants. Your primary focus will be on the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of electronic devices at merchant locations within your designated area. This position offers a chance to be part of a respected organization that prioritizes a healthy work-life balance for its employees.

Location: Your base will be in Ottawa, working directly at our merchants' sites.

Reporting Structure: You will report to the Team Lead of Field Operations.

Your Moneris Career - Responsibilities

  • Diagnose issues related to various equipment and peripherals, including computers, printers, networks, cash registers, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Evaluate problems and propose solutions, ensuring merchant satisfaction with the resolution process.
  • Install and upgrade computers, printers, cash registers, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with our merchants.

Your Moneris Career - Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in electronics, IT, or a related discipline. Relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a diploma.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in testing and resolving technical issues.
  • Good manual dexterity and capability to handle small tools (both hand and power).
  • Basic understanding of network cabling is an asset.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces when necessary.
  • Familiarity with computers, general networking concepts, the Internet, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with diverse individuals and manage various situations calmly.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedules will be communicated in advance).
  • Valid provincial driver's license.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
