Job Summary:

We're seeking a skilled Cloud Solutions Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Solutions Developer at Raven, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions to support our video telematics platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services, enhance system scalability, and optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS.
  2. Develop Cloud-Native Applications: Develop and deploy cloud-native applications and microservices using AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.
  3. Collaborate with Software Engineers: Collaborate with software engineers to integrate cloud components into the video telematics platform, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
  4. Implement Security Best Practices: Implement security best practices and compliance standards to protect sensitive data stored and processed in the cloud environment.
  5. Optimize Cloud Resources: Optimize cloud resources to improve performance, cost efficiency, and scalability of the platform.
  6. Monitor and Troubleshoot: Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement solutions to mitigate issues.
  7. Stay Updated with Emerging Technologies: Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, evaluate new AWS services, and propose innovative solutions to enhance platform capabilities.
  8. Document Technical Specifications: Document technical specifications, architectural designs, and deployment procedures for cloud-based systems.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  2. Experience: Proven experience as a Cloud Developer or similar role, with a focus on AWS IoT cloud services.
  3. Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# for developing cloud-native applications.
  4. AWS Services: Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation.
  5. Cloud Architecture: Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
  6. Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.
  7. DevOps Practices: Familiarity with DevOps practices, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  8. Communication Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
