We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Nova Scotia Limited.
Job Summary:The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including preparing general ledgers, journal entries, and trial balances. The successful candidate will also manage accounts receivable and payable, prepare bank reconciliations, and perform financial calculations.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Transactions: Prepare and record financial transactions, including journal entries and general ledger postings.
- Accounts Management: Manage accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing clients and collecting payments.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and reports, including trial balances and bank reconciliations.
- Financial Calculations: Perform financial calculations, including costing and budgeting.
- Financial Data Management: Store, update, and retrieve financial data.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Sage Accounting Software, MS Excel, and MS Word.
The Accounting Clerk will work in a fast-paced office environment with a team of professionals. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
