Job Title: Risk Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Specialist to join our team at Work in Ottawa. As a Risk Specialist, you will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks that could impact our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure the company's operations are aligned with its goals and objectives.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to senior management on risk mitigation and management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective risk management practices are in place.
  • Develop and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Provide training and support to employees on risk management best practices.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in risk management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management concepts, including operational risk management, risk appetite, internal controls, business continuity management, and crisis management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior management and employees at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
