Job Title: Greenhouse Labourer

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Greenhouse Labourer to join our team at Olds Oasis Organic Inc.

Job Summary:

The Greenhouse Labourer will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our greenhouse, including crop care, maintenance, and harvesting. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cut and harvest horticultural crops
  • Divide fresh produce into marketable and non-marketable lots
  • Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants
  • Mix and prepare soils
  • Pot and re-pot plants
  • Apply fertilizers and report signs of insect or disease damage
  • Assist in grafting activities and dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • Clean work area
Work Environment:

The Greenhouse Labourer will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks. The role requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements:
  • Will train
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 30-40 hours per week
