About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Help Desk Technician to join our team at Groves Memorial Community Hospital. As a Help Desk Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first and second-level technical support for Information Systems hardware, software, network, and operating system requests.
  • Analyze complex technical issues, develop, implement, and support solutions.
  • Understand and apply regulatory policies and procedures related to the industry, including security, privacy, and confidentiality.
  • Manage user administration, account administration, file administration, and account policies.
  • Maintain helpdesk database administration and maintenance.
  • Deploy desktop and lifecycle services.
  • Manage mobile device assignment and deployment, as well as other peripheral equipment, providing preventive maintenance procedures on peripheral and desktop equipment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the departmental strategic plan.
Requirements
  • Excellent computer hardware and software troubleshooting and support skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows Active Directory (AD), Windows suite of operating systems, and Microsoft Office product line.
  • Knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN environment.
  • Technical writing/documentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Business analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Industry standard technical certifications (desirable).
Preferred Qualifications
  • IT background with a degree or diploma in Information Technology or equivalent education/work experience and at least 2 years' experience in the information systems field, including experience with applications, networking, corporate wireless, and telecommunications.
