The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our team at our Smithville facility. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive compensation package and opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods within the warehouse.
- Ensure accurate inventory counts and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Perform tasks such as picking, staging, and loading orders, as well as arranging shipments and completing paperwork.
- Support other departments as needed to ensure smooth operations and high-quality products.
- Maintain excellent safety and quality records, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a forklift role within a busy manufacturing environment.
- Current forklift certification is preferred.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Able to lift up to 30lbs and wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
