Mackenzie Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to fill the role of Resource Utilization Specialist in our Mental Health department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of RAI assessments, data collection, and statistical analysis to support quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all outstanding RAI assessments are complete, accurate, and submitted to CIHI and IDS each fiscal quarter.
- Coordinate timely and correct data input to promote Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Collect statistics as required and submit quarterly statistical reports to the Resource Utilization Coordinator, Program Managers, Program Director, Decision Support, and Finance.
- Critically analyze statistical data in relation to clinical outcomes and quality improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with Resource Utilization Coordinator, Patient Care Managers, Patient Care Coordinators, and Finance to ensure data input and retrieval occur as required.
- Complete therapeutic psychogeriatric mental health assessments.
- Screen/triage psychogeriatric referrals to the outpatient program to determine the best course of action for patients.
- Facilitate outpatient psychogeriatric groups.
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse.
- Practical Nurse Diploma from an approved nursing program.
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient mental health experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR or similar EMR.
- Member of the Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO) preferred.
- Experience in statistical analysis.
- CIHI's RAI-MDS 2.0 Completing the Assessment.
