We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Deton Cho Management LP. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive OHS program that ensures a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute effective procedures to enhance the OHS program, including reviewing and revising policies and procedures as needed.
- Solicit input from all levels of the organization to identify areas for improvement and implement changes in collaboration with senior management.
- Monitor compliance with policies and procedures and provide feedback to senior management.
- Evaluate health and safety practices and procedures for risk assessment and compliance with legal guidelines.
- Ensure that all locations complete monthly inspections and participate in annual inspections to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide timely and accurate safety reports to project management and senior leadership.
- Recommend changes based on leading indicators and statistical metrics.
- Mentor, train, and support the career development of junior to senior staff involved in OHS.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Education in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related fields.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in safety management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of an OHS program on projects of increasing complexity.
- Relevant professional certifications or memberships (e.g., CRSP, CRST) are advantageous.
- Thorough comprehension of Federal, Provincial, and local regulations about Occupational Health and Safety.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to freely access all points of a work site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
- Able to successfully communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Willingness to travel and relocate to project sites as needed.
