We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Ville de Laval. As a key member of our Service des immeubles, parcs et espaces publics, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for our buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct and coordinate studies and analyses related to ventilation, heating, plumbing, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in our buildings.
- Develop and implement quality control programs for indoor air quality in our buildings.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Provide technical expertise and support to project managers and other team members.
- Coordinate and oversee the execution of construction projects, including site visits and inspections.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Membership in good standing with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
- At least 6 years of experience in project management, with a focus on mechanical engineering and building systems.
- Strong knowledge of energy efficiency and LEED certification.
- Experience with asset management and preventive maintenance.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- A competitive salary range of $90,840.84 to $119,491.09 per year.
- A 33.75-hour workweek, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
- 16.5 paid holidays per year, including several days off during the holiday season.
