Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver-Supervisor to join our team at 2262078 ONTARIO INC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our truck drivers and ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate the activities of our truck drivers, ensuring they are aware of their schedules, routes, and delivery deadlines.
  • Prepare and Review reports on driver performance, vehicle maintenance, and logistics operations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Train and Develop our truck drivers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and Operate signal and track switch control panels to ensure safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Coordinate Repairs and Rentals of vehicles and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Requisition and Order materials, equipment, and supplies to support our logistics operations.
  • Recommend Personnel Actions to management, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the trucking industry.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.

  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Organized: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.
Computer and Technology Skills
  • MS Access: Proficiency in using MS Access to manage data and reports.
  • MS Excel: Proficiency in using MS Excel to analyze data and create reports.
  • MS Office: Proficiency in using MS Office to create documents and presentations.
  • MS Outlook: Proficiency in using MS Outlook to manage email and calendar.
  • MS Word: Proficiency in using MS Word to create documents and reports.
