We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team at A.S.A Meat & West Indian Grocery Inc.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and Prepare Meats: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, ensuring high-quality products for our customers.
- Customer Service: Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Meat Processing: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat, adhering to company standards and quality control measures.
- Meat Packaging: Wrap and package prepared meats, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
- Meat Removal: Remove bones from meat, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Meat Weighing: Weigh meats for sale, ensuring accurate measurements and pricing.
- Poultry Cutting: Cut poultry into parts, adhering to company standards and quality control measures.
- Price Setting: Price meat products, ensuring competitive pricing and profit margins.
- Sales: Sell meats to customers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Meat Cutting: Cut fish into steaks and fillets, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Meat Grinding: Grind meats, adhering to company standards and quality control measures.
- Training: Train meat cutters, ensuring high-quality standards and company procedures.
- Display Preparation: Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Meat Shaping: Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a cold/refrigerated environment, exposed to odors.
- Work Setting: Supermarket/grocery store environment.
