We are currently seeking a part-time Registered Orthopedic Technician for our Fracture Clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support orthopedic, plastic, emergency, and family physicians in the treatment and management of their patients.
- Assist both inpatients and outpatients with casting, splint application, and sterile procedures, including patient education, suture removal, dressing changes, and pin/screw removals.
- Help maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Required Qualifications:
- Successful completion of the Canadian Society of Orthopedic Technologists examination (including written, oral, and practical components).
- Current registration with the Canadian Society of Orthopedic Technologists (C.S.O.T.).
- Ability to engage in ongoing education as mandated by the Certification Board of the C.S.O.T.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Capability to mentor orthopedic technicians.
- Strong initiative and self-direction, along with excellent organizational skills.
- Understanding of proper aseptic techniques.
- Strong problem recognition and resolution skills.
- Effective time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks.
- Recent experience in orthopedic or fracture settings is preferred.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapid turnover and competing priorities.
- Collaboration within a team environment is essential.
- Must perform duties efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Consistent attendance record.
