We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Neptunus Yachts International Inc. as a Bookkeeping Specialist. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, including sales tax and income tax.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Education: College diploma or equivalent experience in accounting or a related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a marine industry setting.
- Skills: Proficient in accounting software, including QuickBooks; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40-50 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
