About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at 45006 Yukon Inc. as a Building Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our commercial building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and other refuse from the building and its surroundings.
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Make adjustments to appliances and equipment as needed.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies within the building.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Work with minimal supervision to ensure the smooth operation of the building.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas during winter months.
Equipment and Tools
  • Carpet cleaning machine
  • Power tools
  • Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments)
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Perform repetitive tasks and handle heavy loads.
  • Work in a physically demanding environment with bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work with weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
