Job Title: Construction Labourer and Helper

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer and Helper to join our team at The Greenhorizons Group of Farms Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting our construction team with various tasks, ensuring the smooth execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Lay sod or seed to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our properties.
  • Cut grass to maintain a well-manicured appearance.
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including the installation of gardens and other outdoor features.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure their optimal health.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
Work Environment:

As a Construction Labourer and Helper, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work under pressure, handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks. You must be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements:
  • Experience in a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a rural area, construction site, or farm environment.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with tight deadlines.
Working Conditions:

As a Construction Labourer and Helper, you will work in a variety of environments, including outdoors, in noisy, dusty, and hot conditions. You must be able to work in a wet/damp environment and be comfortable with the physical demands of the job.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

40 to 70 hours per week, depending on the project requirements.
