Job Summary

Technical Bureaus (TBS) Inspection Services Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Non-Destructive Testing Specialist to join our team. As a Visual Inspection Technician, you will be responsible for conducting tests to ensure quality and detect defects in various materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects using various NDT techniques, including liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, visual inspection, and ultrasonic testing.
  • Establish NDI techniques and calibration standards to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Calibrate, test, and interpret ultrasonic equipment to detect defects and ensure quality.
  • Set up, calibrate, operate, and interpret magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, acoustic emission, and infrared thermographic equipment to detect defects and ensure quality.
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Instruct and supervise trainees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform NDT tasks.
  • Maintain test result reports to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in non-destructive testing and inspection.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Accurate, flexible, reliable, and team player with excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) accreditation.
  • CWB Welding Inspector Certification Level 2.
  • Nondestructive Testing Certificate.
Work Environment

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work Setting

Various locations, including construction, large pressure vessels, oil or gas pipelines, and petrochemicals.
