Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated ELL Paraprofessional to join our team at Lakewood Elementary School. The successful candidate will provide support to English Language Learners in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of the English Language Learners program, including planning and delivering English language development instruction to identified ELLs.
  • Collaborate with ELL and classroom teachers to plan and deliver appropriate instruction to ELLs.
  • Communicate with other staff members, family members, and others regarding the needs of ELLs.
  • Assist with the administration and scoring of language assessments.
  • Assist with the required reporting and record keeping related to the ELL students and ELL program.
  • Develop and maintain good home-school communication with ELL families.
  • Assist with supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, etc.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 36 college hours from an accredited college or university is required.
  • A valid Missouri Teaching Certificate is preferred.
  • Possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and physical attributes necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Working Conditions

The work environment is consistent with typical office/school environment. The position requires a moderate amount of travel and physical activity.
