We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at TRULITE GLASS & ALUMINUM SOLUTIONS CANADA, ULC. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 to 44 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and have 1 to 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
Work EnvironmentThe role is primarily office-based but may also involve activities in a manufacturing and industrial plant setting.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver training and information to employers, employees, and the general public.
- Conduct environmental surveys and monitoring programs.
- Collect and analyze samples of materials.
- Inspect hazardous chemical spills and workplace safety conditions.
- Investigate workplace incidents and health-related issues.
- Initiate enforcement actions to ensure compliance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Advise senior management on safety matters.
- Facilitate staff consultations and grievance procedures.
- Participate in emergency response planning.
- Coordinate mine safety programs.
- Conduct training sessions for staff.
- Inspect products and processes, ensuring compliance with health, quality, and safety regulations.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word is essential.
Expertise RequirementsExperience in interpreting and implementing regulatory policies is crucial.

- Hazardous materials handling and storage
- Workplace safety assessments
- Investigation of work-related accidents
Experience in Environmental and Occupational Health is preferred, along with specialized skills and knowledge in the field.
Security and SafetyA criminal record check will be required.
Work ConditionsThe position demands the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail while handling a large workload. Physical capabilities include sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
