Work Details

  • Education: Completion of a college or CEGEP program, or equivalent experience, typically lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ascertain work requirements.
  • Utilize machining tools for the fabrication or reconditioning of parts.
  • Replace or refurbish shafts, bearings, commutators, and other essential components.
  • Weld or braze various components as needed.
  • Wind, assemble, and install different types of coils.
  • Conduct quality control checks on final assemblies to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Assemble winding into cores and establish electrical connections.
  • Fit metal and prefabricated parts with precision according to blueprints.
Qualifications
  • Certification: Motor Winder Trade Certification is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in database software and experience with crimping, brazing, and soldering equipment, as well as coil winding machines.
Specialization Areas
  • Expertise in electric motors, industrial motors, rotors, coils, armatures, and generators.
  • Experience in wiring and electrical assemblies.
