QualificationsEducation
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Equivalent experience may also be considered
Experience
  • 2 to less than 3 years in a relevant field
Work Environment
  • Focus on maintenance and repair of electric motors
  • Relocation costs covered by the employer

  • Engagement in aviation/aerospace repair and overhaul
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to assess work requirements
  • Utilize machining tools for fabricating or reconditioning parts
  • Replace or refurbish components such as shafts, bearings, and commutators
  • Weld or braze parts as necessary
  • Wind, assemble, and install various types of coils
  • Ensure final assembly meets quality control standards
  • Assemble winding into core and establish electrical connections
  • Fit metal and prefabricated components to precise tolerances
Certifications
  • Motor Winder Trade Certification is required
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in database software
  • Experience with crimping, brazing, and soldering equipment
  • Familiarity with coil winding machines
Specialization Areas
  • Electric motors, including industrial motors, rotors, coils, armatures, and generators
Safety and Security
  • Basic security clearance and criminal record check required
Work Conditions
  • Ability to distinguish colors and demonstrate manual dexterity
  • Fast-paced environment with attention to detail
