Job Title: Experienced Layout Artist

Sony Pictures Imageworks is a leading visual effects company that values diversity and inclusion. We are seeking an experienced layout artist to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled layout artist to translate storyboards and sketches into 3D sequences of shots. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of camera composition, angles, and movement, as well as experience with software packages like Maya.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate storyboards and sketches into 3D sequences of shots
  • Determine camera composition, angles, and movement
  • Establish set and background geometry
  • Create basic blocking for all characters and props
  • Collaborate with production, supervisors, and team members to problem-solve and share information

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of production experience or feature film experience
  • Strong knowledge of camera composition and cinematographic principles
  • High attention to detail and good organization skills
  • Ability to solve problems within a production pipeline

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary range: $41.20 to $59.16/hr
