Library Circulation Technician

Position Overview

The Library Circulation Technician plays a crucial role in facilitating effective circulation services, interlibrary loan operations, and ensuring the accessibility of library resources at Tyndale University.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the circulation process of library resources
  • Manage circulation requests efficiently
  • Maintain and update user accounts
  • Organize shelving and manage items on hold
  • Provide interlibrary loan assistance
  • Compile circulation statistics and generate reports
  • Administer the Reserve collection
  • Respond to reference inquiries
  • Process fines and manage payment transactions

Qualifications

  • Completion of a College Library and Information Technician Diploma along with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in library settings
  • 2-3 years of experience in an academic library environment
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities

Compensation

$38,000 to $47,000

Responsibilities and duties may be adjusted at the discretion of the supervisor.
