About the Role

The Non-Destructive Testing Specialist will be responsible for performing calibrations, inspections, and evaluations to ensure the quality and integrity of aircraft and related components. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Radiography (RT) inspections on aircraft, engines, and components to detect discontinuities and ensure quality.
  • Ensure test criteria are applied in accordance with applicable specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Evaluate testing outcomes for acceptance or rejection, organize, and report results in writing.
  • Collaborate with the Project Supervisor, Customer, NDT Supervisor, and Management to identify and interpret test results, work priorities, and project progress.
  • Participate in company safety initiatives, incident investigations, and other related activities.

Requirements

  • CGSB Level II Certifications in ET and/or UT are essential.
  • CGSB Level II Certifications in PT and MT are an asset.
  • CGSB Level I RT (EMC) or Level II RT (Aircraft Structures) is an asset.
  • NAS 410 Level 2 ET/UT/PT/MT/RT may be considered.
  • 5 years of experience performing NDT inspections.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and other authoritative publications for NDT inspections.
  • Flexibility to travel away from base.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good report writing capabilities.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Comfortable working with little to no supervision.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to obtain confined space qualification.
  • Be a team player.
  • Be self-motivator.
  • Be a problem solver.

What We Offer

As a Non-Destructive Testing Specialist with KF Aerospace, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of skilled professionals who are passionate about their craft. You will be eligible for annual Performance and Wage reviews, and the base wage range is $32 to $40/hr depending on experience and certifications. You will also be eligible for endorsement pay, increasing with the number of NDT tickets you are certified to perform.
