About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our medical facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination
    • Schedule and confirm appointments with patients and healthcare providers
    • Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for staff and visitors
  • Record Keeping and Filing
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and files
    • Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive patient information
  • Office Administration
    • Provide administrative support to healthcare staff, including answering phones and responding to emails
    • Manage office supplies and equipment, and perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff
    • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Experience
    • Experience in a healthcare setting is an asset
Work Environment

This is a casual position, working 75 hours bi-weekly. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work under pressure.
