About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Woodland Park Housing Co-operative. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of equipment and fixtures
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
  • Equipment Operation
    • Operate power tools, power lawn mowers, security systems, and small tractors
    • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and procedures
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and report any hazards or concerns
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operations
    • Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve common goals
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Other trades certificate or diploma
    • 5 years or more of experience in maintenance and repair
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks
