Patient Flow Operations Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leader Patient Flow Operations to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. Reporting to the Utilization/Patient Flow Manager, this role is responsible for the Nursing Administration and coordination of safe, efficient patient care services within the facility.
The successful candidate will supervise nursing staff and coordinate all hospital and bed utilization activities in the absence of hospital administration. They will work collaboratively and consultatively with patients/clients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners and service providers to apply strategic and analytical thinking to address challenges and improve patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in nursing, a minimum of three years of medical/surgical experience, and a minimum of two years of nursing management experience. They will possess excellent leadership, planning, organization, and time management skills, as well as the ability to promote and maintain good interpersonal relations.

About You- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
- Minimum of three (3) years medical/surgical experience or equivalent in an acute care setting
- Minimum of two (2) years' nursing management experience
- BCLS required
- ACLS is an asset
- Demonstrated leadership, planning, organization and time management skills
- Ability to promote and maintain good interpersonal relations in dealing with patients, visitors and other health professionals
- Ability and knowledge to match utilization needs to resources available
- Ability to perform duties that involve lifting, bending and stretching
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
