About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team at Victoria Riddoch, Brent Riddoch as a Farm Labourer. This is a seasonal position that requires a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plant, Cultivate and Irrigate Crops: Assist in the planting, cultivation, and irrigation of crops to ensure optimal growth and yield.
  • Fertilize and Spray Crops: Apply fertilizers and pesticides to crops as needed to promote healthy growth and prevent pests and diseases.
  • Harvest Crops: Assist in the harvesting of crops, including manual and mechanical harvesting methods.
  • Operate and Maintain Farm Machinery and Equipment: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, plows, and other equipment.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a rural area, with varying locations throughout the farm. The work environment will be outdoors, with exposure to wet, damp, dusty, and hot conditions. The candidate must be able to work in a noisy environment and be physically fit to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: The successful candidate must be physically fit to handle heavy loads, repetitive tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 40 to 60 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts.
