Position Overview:

Accoravillage is in search of a temporary full-time Acting Human Resources Director. This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing for both on-site and remote engagement.

Role Summary:

The Acting Human Resources Director will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance across all human resources functions. This includes employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits management, compliance with legal regulations, and overseeing HR operations and initiatives. The position requires close collaboration with senior leadership and operational teams to achieve both organizational and departmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all HR functions, including the development and implementation of company-wide HR initiatives and policies.
  • Inspire and lead a diverse HR team, promoting an inclusive and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Advise company leaders on fostering a positive work environment and addressing complex employee relations issues.
  • Work with leadership to identify operational challenges and provide strategic HR solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior management to implement and sustain organizational change while ensuring alignment across departments.
  • Design and execute people-centric strategies tailored to the unique needs of various operational areas, while ensuring consistency with overall company objectives.
  • Provide expertise in legal matters related to employment, including contracts and human rights.
  • Ensure effective communication of HR policies, procedures, and programs to all employees.
  • Lead the strategic planning and budgeting processes for the HR department.
  • Foster a workplace culture that aims to be recognized as a top employer.
  • Manage employee benefits programs to meet the needs of both employees and the organization effectively.
  • Oversee compensation strategies and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management and leadership roles.
  • Preferred certification as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CRHP) or equivalent.
  • Experience in federally regulated industries, particularly in aviation, is advantageous.
  • Experience in complex, multi-location organizations is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multiple leaders and provide effective guidance.
  • Experience in driving initiatives focused on employee engagement.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
