Position Overview

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Corporate Actuarial Services, the Senior Actuarial Analyst plays a vital role in assessing policy liabilities, generating the Appointed Actuary's report, and aiding in corporate strategy and capital management at CAA Club Group. This position is available in either the Mississauga or Montreal office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual evaluations of claims and premium liabilities, along with the preparation of the Appointed Actuary's Report.
  • Help in the development and upkeep of reserve-related documentation.
  • Participate in the annual Financial Condition Testing (FCT), Own Risk Solvency Assessment (ORSA), and other capital management projects.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to their professional growth.
  • Provide assistance to other actuarial functions as necessary.
  • Engage in various ad hoc projects as required.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, statistics, or mathematics.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is essential for positions based in Quebec; beneficial for roles in Ontario.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of VBA, R, Qlikview, ResQ, and IGLOO is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the actuarial field is required.
  • At least 6 actuarial examinations must be completed.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities are necessary.
  • Key competencies include adaptability, innovation, proactivity, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to convey complex concepts clearly and simply to diverse audiences.
