Floor Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Floor Care Specialist to join our Special Services Crew at Pearson Airport. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our floor care programs are delivered to the highest standards, meeting the needs of our clients and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver floor care services as part of our preventative maintenance plan, ensuring that all work is carried out on schedule and to the required standards.
- Respond to calls and requests as required, demonstrating flexibility with shift times and locations of work.
- Operate a van and equipment trailer, safely loading and securing equipment as needed.
- Perform floor refinishing, waxing, and buffing tasks, as well as carpet and upholstery extraction cleaning, power washing, and high dusting.
- Conduct detailed cleaning of spaces such as kitchens, industrial areas, and new construction projects.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the workplace.
- Meet the requirements for a Security Clearance, enabling you to work throughout the airport and various buildings.
- Communicate effectively with the management team and respond to their requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Be aware of exits, safety items, and equipment in different areas of the airport, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Provide excellent customer service, interacting with passengers and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Possess clear and concise communication skills in English, with the ability to listen carefully and respond patiently to passengers and visitors.
- Be proactive in assisting passengers and guests, solving problems and directing them to the airline or information kiosk as needed.
- Take direction and adapt quickly to changing priorities, maintaining a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
- Report any incidents, safety issues, or maintenance requirements in a detailed and efficient manner.
- Class G driver's license (required)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
- Valid driver's license
- Good command of English and communication skills
- Ability to read and follow layout instructions
- Ability to walk for long periods of time and lift equipment
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
- Available to work all shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
