Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in plastering and drywall work
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ascertain project requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training to apprentices in plastering techniques.
  • Apply multiple layers of compound and meticulously sand seams and joints for a smooth finish.
  • Skillfully apply, level, and smooth plaster coats to achieve desired textures.
  • Prepare and clean surfaces prior to plaster application.
  • Ensure proper curing of freshly plastered surfaces.
  • Utilize joint compound to fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks using appropriate tools.
  • Finish corners and angles, creating decorative designs in the final coat as needed.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets accurately.
  • Mix plaster components to achieve the desired consistency for application.
  • Secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists effectively.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow for adequate drying time.
  • Apply acoustic or texture materials to walls and ceilings as required.
