Key Responsibilities:
As a certified substitute educator, you will be assigned 2-3 consistent days each week to cover in our kindergarten classes. Your role will involve delivering pre-planned lessons and facilitating engaging, play-based learning experiences. Responsibilities include supervising students, taking attendance, implementing lesson plans, communicating student progress, and collaborating with Education Assistants.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment that promotes inclusivity and a passion for learning.
- Collaborate effectively with classroom education assistants, therapists, and the primary classroom teacher.
- Adhere to pre-planned lessons, delivering the Alberta Education kindergarten curriculum while adapting instruction to meet the diverse needs of each child.
- Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher regarding student progress.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies.

Qualifications:
- *A minimum of a Bachelor of Education degree with either an interim or permanent teaching certificate from Alberta Education.
- *Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities.
