Job Overview

As a pivotal figure within Canada Post, the Community Postal Leader is tasked with the promotion and sale of postal products and services to both the public and local businesses. This role serves as the representative of the Post Office in the designated community, overseeing staff and ensuring that Canada Post maintains a strong customer-centric approach while managing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with the local community regarding Canada Post services and offerings.
  • Promote and sell postal products and services to individuals and businesses.
  • Oversee the post office operations to align with retail hours and delivery standards.
  • Manage postal revenue, assets, and values effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare necessary reports.
  • Supervise and train staff, while assessing their performance.
  • Assist in the efficient management of mail delivery routes.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience in business administration.
  • Proven experience in leading and directing teams.
  • Experience in customer service, particularly in retail or service environments, including sales and cash handling.
  • Familiarity with regulations and procedures for mail processing and postal services.
  • Physically capable of lifting mail containers up to 50 lb, pushing or pulling boxes, sorting mail, and standing for extended periods.
