Position Summary

We are looking for a GIS Specialist to join our Land Acquisition GIS team. This role is crucial in supporting our GIS initiatives and enhancing our decision-making processes as we work on impactful projects that contribute to the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain GIS data effectively.
  • Develop and maintain Land and project holding GIS data, ensuring seamless integration with our Land management systems.
  • Collaborate with Development Engineering to create constraint and buildable area maps.
  • Support M&A activities through the preparation of map exhibits and project evaluations.
  • Respond to ad-hoc mapping requests from various departments.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist the GIS Manager in deploying new web-based GIS solutions.
  • Conduct spatial analysis for project siting purposes.
  • Curate GIS datasets in our GIS Portal and other data repositories.
  • Provide technical support for users of the GIS Portal.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports directly to the GIS Manager.
  • Collaborates with Land Acquisition, Real Estate, Engineering, and Development teams.
  • Engages with various internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in the ESRI software suite, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
  • Familiar with various GIS data formats.
  • Knowledgeable in ESRI's commercial off-the-shelf and mobile solutions.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python for process automation.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Solid research and writing skills.
  • Understanding of real estate concepts is a plus.

Education

  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
