About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at Hays. As a key member of our HR division, you will be responsible for owning the HR function for our organization, with a focus on developing and implementing a successful and sustainable Talent Acquisition strategy across both Canada and the US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Talent Acquisition strategy to support business growth and expansion
  • Lead Onboarding, compliance, HRIS maintenance, HR policies and procedures, external partnership management, and other projects as required
  • Support the executives in a strategic business partnering capacity
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, including interviewing candidates, completing hiring paperwork, conducting background and criminal record checks, and processing internal paperwork for termination
  • Ensure compliance with different state requirements and maintain employee benefits
  • Address external auditors' questions regarding hiring and termination
  • Assist with employee insurance external audit forms and queries
Requirements
  • 7-9 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, primarily from the Retail and/or Property Management industry
  • Strong background in Talent Acquisition and Recruitment
  • Experience supporting a business from an HR perspective across both Canada and the US
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Mature and confidential in your approach
  • Forward-thinking and progressive in HR practices
