Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our team in Calgary. The successful candidate will work as part of a technical, multidisciplinary team and will play a key role in the subsurface reservoir engineering, well planning and well forecasting, and operating strategies for the company's undeveloped thermal assets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support Development of In-Situ Undeveloped Bitumen Assets
  2. Lead Activities Evaluating Field Development Strategies and Reservoir Management Plans
  3. Utilize Analogues, Analytical, and Simulation Techniques to Generate Medium and Long-Term Production Forecasts
  4. Support Regulatory Applications and Filings
  5. Ensure Best Practices and Accurate Representation of Subsurface Data and Inputs
  6. Develop and Implement Reservoir Operating Strategies
  7. Identify and Support Well Completion Strategies and Designs
  8. Support Well Start-Up, Ramp Down, and Late-Life Well Strategies
  9. Communicate Effectively with Key Stakeholders
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Engineering or Relevant Field
  2. 10 Years of Related Industry Experience in Reservoir Engineering Aspects of Thermal Projects
  3. Goal-Oriented and Capable of Meeting Aggressive Deadlines
  4. Track Record of Creativity and Innovation in Generating and Implementing Reservoir Engineering Solutions
  5. Passion and Drive to Take Ownership of Projects
  6. Excellent Analytical, Integration, and Project Management Capabilities
  7. Demonstrated Experience in SAGD Surveillance, Field Development Planning, and Forecasting
  8. Demonstrated Experience in Greenfield SAGD Development and Start-Up
  9. In-Depth Familiarity with Thermal Reservoir Simulation
  10. Experience with PVT and Solvent SAGD, and Special Core Analysis
  11. Familiarity with Python Coding Skills
  12. Strong Communication, Interpersonal, Teamwork, and Problem-Solving Skills
  13. Registration as a Professional Engineer or Eligibility for Membership with APEGA
  14. Legal Authorization to Work Full-Time in Canada
