We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Housing and Ancillary Services team at St. Lawrence College. As the Associate Director, Housing and Ancillary Services, you will be responsible for the strategic development and management of housing and ancillary services, aligning them with the College's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement tri-campus residences and off-campus housing initiatives that support a student-centred approach and St. Lawrence College's strategic enrolment management goals.
- Lead a team of managers, employees, and contractors in the delivery of programs and services relating to student housing experiences and ancillary services.
- Ensure business operations, contract management, revenue targets, and student success objectives are met with respect to housing and ancillary services.
- Provide leadership in the development of business plans, business cases, proposals, budgets, work plans, and special projects.
- A minimum of a 4-year Degree in a relevant field of study such as Business Administration or Public Administration.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive management experience in ancillary services or equivalent programs, including leading a team, actively managing contracts, and developing programs to enhance student experience and service excellence.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of strategic and business planning, financial planning, and budgeting cycles.
- Ability to manage a heavy workload and prioritize key activities.
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills to mediate competing priorities among project partners.
- Strong critical thinking skills to apply judgment and make recommendations for improvements.
- Ability to work with postsecondary students to advance their development and growth.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of students, leaders, employees, and contractors.
- Advanced planning, time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to communicate with clarity and precision in both written and verbal capacities.
- Excellent computer skills including a good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Understanding of and commitment to Indigenous ways of knowing and being.
- Tact and discretion when liaising with a variety of clients, students, and employees at various levels.
The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location and work temporarily from a remote location with reliable internet access, as approved by the College and in accordance with the college's Telework Policy.
Salary & Terms- Admin Group: Pay Band 12: $99,792 - $133,056 per annum, commensurate on education and experience. In addition to the salary, the position is eligible for pay for performance.
