Key Responsibilities
As a Lead Cinematic Animator, you will be tasked with crafting intricate and high-quality character animations for in-game cutscenes, ensuring alignment with both the artistic direction and technical specifications. You will work in close collaboration with directors and your team lead to realize the intended narrative and performance, breathing life into characters through expressive and lifelike animations that meet industry standards.
A significant aspect of your role will involve mentoring junior and mid-level animators, providing guidance and fostering a supportive and collaborative environment that encourages professional growth. Your technical expertise with animation tools such as Maya and Motion Builder, alongside your knowledge of game engines, will empower you to refine animations effectively. Additionally, you will be skilled at diagnosing and resolving both technical and creative challenges to uphold the highest animation quality.
You will engage closely with narrative, audio, visual effects, and technical teams to ensure that animations enhance storytelling and meet qualitative goals. Together with the cinematic leadership team, you will assist in planning performance capture sessions, ensuring that all assets are prepared for production.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as a cinematic animator for in-game content.
- Proficiency in animation software such as Maya, Motion Builder, or similar applications.
- Expertise in performance capture refinement and keyframe animation.
- A strong grasp of character animation principles, timing, and narrative techniques.
- Experience with motion capture data and methodologies.
- Proven involvement in at least one AAA game, specifically in creating narrative-driven content such as cutscenes or scripted events.
- A keen eye for camera work and framing is highly valued.
- A broad understanding of technical workflows is essential.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills and experience in engaging with the broader team for content alignment.
- A passion for your work, with a commitment to enhancing workflows and tools.
