Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Engineering to join our dynamic Insurance Technology team. In this role, you will lead multi-functional engineering teams, driving the redesign of client-facing technology systems and providing Tier 2 and 3 support. Your passion for delivering exceptional user experiences and guiding the development of engineering staff within your team will be instrumental in our success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor multi-functional engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Spearhead the redesign and development of cutting-edge client-facing technology systems, ensuring seamless user experiences.
  • Provide expert Tier 2 and 3 technical support, resolving complex issues and driving continuous improvement.
  • Champion agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and test-driven development to ensure efficient and high-quality software delivery.
  • Cultivate a culture of learning and growth within the engineering team, providing guidance and mentorship to foster professional development.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of leading teams or programs for 3+ years in a technology-driven environment.
  • Experience within the financial or insurance industry is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
  • In-depth understanding of agile, DevOps, and test-driven development methodologies.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
